It's great to see that many women today are befriending their bodies and themselves.. but unfortunately alot of women
still function under the premise that mainstream america is not out to kill them. One of the many, and I do mean many ways
our health is being put in jeopardy is by the suggestions of corporate/mainstream america that if we wish to get better, we
must poison ourselves. Funny that many of us would not be sick at if it wasn't for the poison that they've been feeding us
since birth. Just think, what better time to poison women than their periods, when our bodies are most sensitive?
For instance, does the chemical acetaminophen sound familiar? Well, if you use over-the-counter pain medication for your
period you may have seen it listed as the main ingredient. Acetaminophen is known to cause hepatoxicity in large doses. Imagine
what it could do to a woman over the course of her lifetime from menses to menapause.
"While erythematosus (skin redness, inflammation) or urticarial skin rashes (multiple raised, swollen, itchy skin areas)
are occasionally observed, the most serious adverse affect of acute acetaminophen over dosage is hepatotoxicity
(harmful effect on the liver). In adults, hepatotoxicity may result from a single dose of 10 to 15-grams. More chronic abuse
of acetaminophen has been associated with nephrotoxicity (harmful effect on the kidneys). "
We are expected (and for the most part we do) to follow social trends obediently, swallow our poison, and shove bleach
in our vaginas. Not my idea of a good time. And to make matters worse Acetaminophen has not even been tested to see if it
contributes to birth defects, though it is the #1 ingredient in many oral medications marketed to women. As for the bleach
comment... who ever thought that it would be a good idea to sell young women products made with rayon and bleach (both quite
harmful to the vagina) for occupancy in their most sensitive of parts? Were these people stupid? greedy? or were they just
men?
On
Yahoo! Health Drug Index it suggests that if one wishes to take acetaminophen for long periods of time it should be under the guidance of a physician."If
you will be taking this medicine for a long time (for example, for several months at a time), or in high doses, your doctor
should check your progress at regular visits." They also state that it is unadvisable to take acetaminophen with Ibuprofen
for more than a few days at a time.. try weekly every month. Are you a little worried about this? I certainly am. And acetaminophen
is just one of the many poisons directly marketed to woman.
The tampons that we are pressured into using as young girls are loaded with poisons, and pack a fatality rate. Scary.
So why do mothers give these harmful things to their children? Is it because their mothers gave it to them? It is quite sad,
the variable layers of exploitation of women through out the centuries.
